"Push Forward" is a natural continuation of the foundations set in the band's first release, fusing tense and dreamy guitar lines over a driving rhythm section and a lyrical delivery that strikes a balance between being passionate and deadpan. The song's narrative delves into a journey of transition and self-discovery, where intense emotions give way to moments of reflection, detachment, and self-preserving humor. The narrator navigates the shifting currents of life's dichotomies—oscillating between engagement and detachment, intensity and apathy.

Commuter started as a project of Dionysis Koutavas (vocals/guitar) in Athens in 2019. Influenced by the post-punk sounds of the Canadian scene (Women, Preoccupations) as well as the new wave of UK (Shame, Squid) among others.
